Henne Kirkeby Kro information about the COVID-19 restrictions 

We look forward to welcoming our guests at the inn.T o ensure the safety of our guests and employees, we have introduced special Covid-19 guidelines and working procedures. The safety of our guests and staff at Henne Kirkeby Kro inn is our top priority. We are therefore continuously following the recommendations and guidelines of the government and health authorities, adjusting our procedures accordingly. We have also joined our trade association HORESA’s ‘Safe to visit’ programme.

Booking, changes or cancellation

We can be contacted by email at info@hennekirkebykro.dk or by phone on + 45 75 25 54 00 between 09.00 am and 3.00 p.m. on all weekdays. We will respond to all inquiries as quickly as possible.

All table reservations can be cancelled free of charge 24 hours prior to arrival. 

All room bookings can be freely cancelled up to 14 days prior to arrival. Late cancellations will incur a first night charge for each room reservation. When booking a room, you will receive an email from Henne Kirkeby Kro summarising the reservation. You must return this reservation at your earliest convenience. 

In case of late cancellation, we will do our utmost to sell the reservation to a third party, as we often have people on our waiting list. To further assist our guests in the best possible way, we will contact guests with table reservations approximately seven days prior to arrival to verify whether the reservation is still applicable. 

In these troublesome Corona times, we understand that there may be personal or practical reasons for changing a reservation. Whether you want to move, change or cancel your booking, our booking manager will help you in the best way possible.

Opening hours

Lunch
Thursday – Saturday from 12 noon
Please note the last lunch order is at 1:00 p.m.

Evening
Thursday – Saturday from 6.00 p.m.
Wednesday – Saturday from 6.00 p.m. (from 1 May – 1 November)
We close the restaurant no later than 22:00 in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines.
 
Physical distancing & room capacity

In keeping with the new guidelines, we have reduced our indoor table capacity to a maximum of 36 guests. We are complying with the guidelines for staying in rooms and are enforcing a 1 metre distance between guests and 2 m2 of space per guest.

Our waiting staff provide a friendly service while observing social distancing so as to avoid direct physical contact with guests. In addition, staff will limit their presence at guests’ tables in order to reduce the amount of time spent with guests.
 
Cleaning & hygiene

In order to limit the spread of infection, all rooms will undergo additional cleaning with a special focus on contact surfaces such as handles, light switches, table surfaces, faucets, etc. For the same reason, we have removed books, magazines and other unnecessary items. The content of the minibar will be disinfected prior to arrival.  In addition, all used and unused toiletries will be replaced during cleaning.

Hand sanitiser has been made available throughout the inn and it is a mandatory requirement that our staff regularly use sanitiser to disinfect themselves and contact surfaces.

Staff rooms and toilet facilities are cleaned several times a day. Guest toilets will only be supplied with individual washcloths for hand wiping.

All our employees and persons affiliated with Henne Kirkeby Kro have been instructed in the Danish Health Authority’s recommendations on good hygiene and appropriate behaviour.

Our precautions

We ask that guests only visit us if they are healthy and do not have any Covid-19 symptoms. We have impressed on our employees the need to comply at all times with the health authorities’ guidelines. If guests or staff are showing the least sign of Covid-19 symptoms, they must return home and self isolate.

 
Hand sanitiser is available throughout the inn and must be used regularly by all staff and guests.

Rules on social gathering

As part of the efforts to limit the spread of Covid-19 in Denmark, the government and the authorities have taken a number of measures to reduce the number of social contacts, ensure proper distancing between Danes and increase the impact of social distancing. That is why a ban on public gatherings of more than 25 people as of May 6th, 2021 increasing to 50 people as of May 21st, 2021

Thus, we cannot serve a group of more than the public gathering rule allows, but we can have several groups of people in the restaurant at the same time if the groups are kept apart.  A group should consist only of people who are already in close contact with each other and who are normally in the same immediate social circle.
